About the class
If you love magic and you love science, then abracadabra: this is the class for you! In this class, students will learn several “magic tricks” they can perform to blow the minds of friends and family–and they’ll learn the scientific principles that make those tricks work, too. Join scientist Dr. Wendy Bohon for a magical, hands-on event full of spectacular science demonstrations that feel like pure magic, but have logical scientific explanations that students can use to create their own tricks, experiments, and inventions.
A materials list will be supplied to registrants via email to ensure they’re equipped to participate.
This class is one of many missions in the STEAM Innovation program free for Varsity Tutors Learning Members as they learn to become scientists, inventors, and innovators.
This StarCourse is no longer available.
But don’t fret… we have more classes to choose from!
Join our STEAM Innovation Program
Calling all future scientists! Astronaut Leland Melvin has a challenge this summer for you: become an inventor. And in his STEAM Innovation program you’ll develop the skills to do just that as you explore the scientific method, engineering principles, and design processes through fun hands-on activities and challenges.
