What is it about the soothing sounds of waves and seabirds? Oceans and marshes aren’t just essential habitats for some of our favorite animals. They’re also ideal environments to access our “Blue Minds,” getting a feeling of zen and unlocking our creative abilities thanks to the natural sights, sounds, and smells that have inspired human ingenuity for centuries. In this live, interactive class, you’ll explore these habitats to get in touch with your Blue Mind and learn why and how you can use it to combat the effects of climate change on these extraordinary ecosystems.

Meet your expert instructor, Alayna

Alayna Robertson is the Virtual Programs Coordinator at the South Carolina Aquarium. She has been lucky enough to split her time between environmental education and working as a dolphin researcher in the field, allowing her to combine her two passions in education and science. Most of all, she loves getting to engage with people of all ages and helping to connect them to the water, wildlife, and wild places around them!
