About the class

Calling all future healthcare professionals: this class is for you! We'll watch and analyze a surgical video co-produced with Barnabas Hospital in Livingston, NJ to answer the question, "What's a kidney transplant like?" You'll see a donor kidney removed, prepared for transplantation, taken to an adjacent operating room, and transplanted into a recipient. You'll also learn about organ donation and experience plenty of wonder as a patient receives the gift of life.
