My name is Matt Haselhorst, a Certified Flight Instructor / CFII / MEI who also has a Bachelor's in General Business from Fort Hays State University. I have over a year of experience teaching student pilots, and 5 years of work in the field of aviation. The topic I am most familiar with in aviation is weather, a passion that stems from my childhood fascination with tornadoes.

I empathize with students facing challenges in their learning journeys, having navigated my own struggles in the past. My teaching philosophy centers on breaking down complex concepts into manageable parts, tailoring my approach to the unique needs of each student, whether they are young adults or those pursuing a second career. I find joy in drawing out the intricacies of meteorology on the whiteboard, ensuring my students grasp essential topics like wind and storm dynamics. I am committed to fostering a supportive environment where students can thrive and gain confidence in their understanding of fly airplanes and the field of aviation at large!
