My name is Michelle Thomas-Mitchell, and I am passionate about helping students excel in mathematics and science. With a Master's in Management focusing on Information Systems and dual Bachelor's degrees in Biology and Interdisciplinary Studies, I bring a diverse educational background to my tutoring sessions. I have over 15 years of experience teaching a range of subjects, primarily focusing on Algebra, Geometry, and Adult Literacy. My teaching philosophy centers on meeting students where they are, utilizing their strengths and interests, such as video games, to make learning engaging and relevant. I believe that a strong foundation in basic math is crucial for success in higher-level courses, and I strive to instill confidence in my students. Outside of teaching, I enjoy traveling and exploring different cultures, which enriches my perspective and enhances my connection with students.
