With over 13 years of experience as a college professor in the field of medical imaging, I have cultivated a deep passion for empowering students to reach their fullest potential. My journey in education has been driven by a commitment not only to teach but to inspireguiding students to truly understand the material rather than simply memorize it. I believe that education is most impactful when it fosters critical thinking, self-discovery, and confidence.

My teaching philosophy centers on mentorship. I strive to meet students where they are and help them get to where they need to benot by giving them answers, but by guiding them to find those answers themselves. I encourage students to explore concepts, ask questions, and develop personalized strategies for learning. This approach helps them build a strong foundation in the subject matter and equips them with lifelong learning skills.

Throughout my career, I have tutored and taught subjects aligned with the ARRT content specifications, including radiologic sciences, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), computed tomography (CT), patient care, interprofessional education, and radiologic procedures. My academic background includes degrees in Radiologic Science, Health Professions with an emphasis in CT and MRI, and Adult Education with a focus on adult learning principles, earned from the University of Cincinnati, Kettering College of Medical Arts, and the University of Phoenix. I also hold current certifications as a Radiologic Technologist, as well as in CT and MRI.

These experiences have given me a comprehensive understanding of both the technical and human aspects of medical imaging education. I am deeply committed to creating a supportive and engaging learning environment where students feel empowered to take ownership of their education and pursue excellence in their professional journeys.
