My passion for education stems from the belief that every child deserves to reach their full potential, regardless of their starting point or learning style. Over the past three years, I've had the privilege of working with diverse learners across multiple settings - from second-grade classrooms to special education preschool environments - and now as a homeschooling parent to my own children.

My educational journey began at Northwest Missouri State University, where I earned my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. This foundation, combined with hands-on classroom experience, has equipped me with the skills to identify each student's unique learning needs and adapt my teaching accordingly.

I specialize in tutoring elementary subjects, with reading and writing being my absolute favorites. There's something magical about watching a child's face light up when they decode their first challenging word or craft a story that truly expresses their thoughts. These subjects form the foundation for all future learning, making them incredibly rewarding to teach.

My teaching philosophy centers on meeting students where they are and building from there. Having worked with children with special needs, I understand that learning happens differently for everyone. I believe in creating a supportive, encouraging environment where mistakes are learning opportunities and every small victory is celebrated. My approach is patient, adaptive, and always focused on building confidence alongside academic skills.

Currently homeschooling my own children has given me fresh perspective on individualized learning and the importance of making education relevant to each child's interests and strengths. This experience has reinforced my commitment to personalized, student-centered instruction.
