Five years ago, when I first immigrated to Canada, I knew I had to build my social life, knowledge about places, and know how to integrate myself into the culture from the ground up again. In my first couple of months in Canada's High School, I did not know many people to talk to because everyone had already established their friendship as far back as grade school. However, I have already prepared for such circumstances. In my grade 11 class, specifically my math class, I studied as hard as possible while walking around my classes asking for feedback on my work. As time goes on, I began making tons of friends from just my function class. From then on, I was added to a group chat for people in my grade and started helping other students with their math problems. When I get to help others, I feel a sense of pride in my understanding, and it makes me want to teach people more about the subject matter. This behaviour of mine continues in University as I was able to meet new people and help them with the work. I wanted to spread the confidence I gained from learning and teaching to others, hoping everyone achieve their academic goals with my help.

Technology is something I'm very fond of since I was little, it was the motivation to make me major in computer science at University. Recently, I've taken an interest in parsing an expression, such as "1 + 2" and output the desired result. This may look rudimentary, but it gets a bit more complicated when BEDMAS is introduced. This work is related to a module I made for various types of math calculators in Python, such as Linear Algebra, Derivatives, Graph Theory, etc... Parsing could be useful for the topic listed above; I could make a derivatives calculator. However, I'm aware that a derivative calculator already exists, but it doesn't stop me from making my version of the calculator. Besides just writing code, I'm also interested in robotics. To me, robotics is what makes my code feel more alive; the code interacts with the real environment and reacts to certain events. Because of this, I decided to join my school's robotics team and experiment with what I can create.
