I am a graduate of Buena Vista University. I received my Bachelor of Art degree in Elementary Education with a focus on Social Studies. Since graduating in 2006, I am raising two children and have been a substitute teacher in elementary and middle schools for most of that duration doing both short term and long assignments. I taught 5th grade math, science, and social studies full-time for last 1 1/2 years. Due to some health issues, I am currently back to substitute teaching on a part time basis. I thoroughly enjoy helping students learn, grow, and encourage them to reach their full potential. I love seeing students' "light bulb" moments when they have a sudden realization and understanding of a concept! I enjoy reading, playing games, baking, and spending time with my family.
