Konnichiha! I am a senior in college this year studying Mathematics and Japanese. sophomore year I studied abroad in Japan, lived with a host family, and was fully immersed in the language for four months. On campus, I tutor other students, oversee Japanese conversation circles, and participate in extracurricular translation. This past summer, I taught English at a high school in Hokkaido and once again lived with a host family.

Language allows us to connect with people in new ways! That's why I teach Japanese with a focus on connection with other people in class conversations, groups, and exercises that emphasize speaking in addition to the passive skills necessary for learning a language.
