Certified Tutor
I've been driven by a curiosity to understand how things work and a desire to help others realize their potential. My dedication to helping students stems from the joy I see in them when they grasp a complex concept or improve their skills, fostering not just academic success but confidence and self-worth.
Over the past 23 years, I've worked with students ranging from elementary to high school levels, as a private tutor and classroom teacher. This experience has taught me how to adapt my teaching methods to fit the unique needs of each student, enhancing their learning experience and academic performance.
My approach has always been to encourage questioning, exploration, and persistent effort.
I received my Bachelor's degree in Education from Lesley University in Cambridge, MA., specializing in Teaching Mathematics. I received my Master's degree in Educational Technology from Southern New Hampshire University in Information Technology, aiming to integrate cutting-edge tech solutions into effective teaching strategies.
I enjoy tutoring Mathematics from elementary math up to Algebra. My favorite subject to tutor is Math because it allows for problem-solving techniques and logical reasoning, which are skills that students can apply beyond the classroom.
My teaching philosophy is centered on the belief that education should empower students to think critically and independently. My tutoring style is collaborative and adaptive, focusing on building a rapport with students to create a comfortable learning environment that stimulates engagement and curiosity. I utilize a variety of instructional techniques to cater to different learning styles, ensuring that each session is impactful.
Let's fill in those gaps!
