I believe that all students can learn and deserve to learn. I also believe that education should prepare students for whatever postsecondary education they want for themselves. As an educator who has been an English teacher, a building-level literacy coach, and a district-level literacy coach, I am passionate about students engaging in literacy as a way of expanding their view of the world.
I graduated from Vanderbilt University with my undergraduate teaching dress and my Master's. I earned an Educational Specialist degree from Lipscomb University, and I am in my last year of working on my doctorate at Lipscomb as well. The area I tutor is literacy, and I love working with all of it-- the literature, the grammatical aspects, and the writing. It is hard to pick a favorite; I love it all. I am able to work with both middle school and high school students.
