Certified Tutor

I am a graduate of Marian University. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Elementary education with a minor in Spanish. Since graduation, I have worked to perfect my teaching skills, tutoring and mentoring students during the summer; Act as a coordinator for a tutoring program that focused primarily on students with large grade level gaps and I-Read 3 assessment (as I am a third grade teacher); and work with English language learners (as I am a certified ELL teacher). While I tutor a broad range of subjects, I am most passionate about reading and math. In my experience helping struggling students prepare for exams, and Standardized Tests, we always seem to have the most fun (with remarkable advancements) prepping for the Critical Reading and Writing portions of the exams. I am a firm believer in education and strengthening the skills that students should possess in this world we call life. While academic skills are essential, so is life skills because they share a common ground. You can not do one without the other. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, cooking with my six year old son, watch movies, and listening to music.
