Certified Tutor

I am a graduate of Liberty University and have received my Master's degree in teaching special education, k-12. I am a licensed teacher in Virginia and New Jersey with endorsements in teaching students with disabilities and elementary education k-6. Since graduation, I have taught middle school science as well as STEM clubs and summer science camp. I have worked with students with special needs since 2017 as a paraprofessional and as a DSP for young adults with disabilities. Before 2017, I enjoyed volunteering as a literacy tutor for ESL adults and individuals needing assistance with reading skills. While I have taught a variety of academic subjects, I am most passionate about teaching students to have a love for learning. I believe student's academic challenges must be viewed as learning opportunities for understanding and developing their metacognitive skills.
