Certified Tutor

I am a graduate of The University of Texas at San Antonio. I received my Bachelor of Arts in English Language Arts with a specialization in writing. I have also received my teaching certification for 7-12 grade ELAR. Since graduation, I have taught 9th-grade English at Canyon High School as well as sponsoring three different school organizations focusing on academics as well as diversity within the school. While I tutor a variety of subjects, I am most passionate about English, Literature, and Writing. In my experience helping struggling students prepare for Standardized Tests, we always seem to have the most fun (through interactive lesson plans) prepping for the Critical Reading and Writing portions of the exams. I am a firm advocate for education, believing it to be absolutely necessary for an individual to successfully get through the struggles of life. I have the highest respect and appreciation for all of my students, focusing on building trust and meaningful relationships. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, writing, and hiking trails.
