Why are you passionate about helping students?

I am working towards graduating from Carthage College with a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education. Over two semesters, I approximately 308 hours of experience in elementary and middle school classrooms where I observed, taught some lessons, and helped wherever I was needed. I tutor both Elementary and Middle School Science, math, Social Studies, English, and reading. I love tutoring in science and reading because I am a bookworm that thinks science rules! I believe that every student can succeed in their goals, intrinsic motivation is extremely powerful, and you should never stop learning. I try to make tutoring sessions fun and let students explore and make their own connections. In my spare time I love to knit, watch movies, draw, and read.
