Long time professor of English who loves helping students find their best voice to express what they want in writing. I love seeing the light of understanding click on! I have taught levels from ESL to recent refugees all the way to graduate students, and probably most enjoy grammar and teaching literature electives. My own struggles learning required math in college help me empathize with learners; I wish I had had a great tutor for math! But I believe with cats, openness, and encouragement, as well as keeping good standards, I can help others with writing and learning English. It really can be fun!

Reading, cooking, my cats; watching Liverpool FC; walking the roads near my home; being obscure places to visit and eat in my hometown of San Antonio, TX; I love learning and have an oddly curious mind! I've also visited England, Iceland, India, Canada, and Mexico, as well as traveled to Puerto Rico. I hope to do more traveling soon!
