I have been teaching 7th grade - 11th grade ELAR/Reading for the past 7 years. I attended The University of Texas at San Antonio where I received a Bachelor's degree in English with teachers certification. My experience through these last few years has given me the tools to help with reading and writing strategies, state standardized tests, slow-paced lessons, essays, college entrance exams and essays, and resumes. From my experience teaching, I often hear from my students that before my class English was "hard" or "boring". I will do everything I can to make our time together interesting, utilize higher order thinking and most of all fun!
