Certified Tutor

I have been a classroom teacher for
the past 19 years after I graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor's of Science in Elementary Education and a minor in life and earth science in 2003. I have been lucky to serve a diverse number of communities with students and families from many backgrounds and ranges of learning needs. My teaching and tutoring styles begin with meeting students where they are, followed by building upon what they already know so they can ultimately feel confident to tackle new or challenging information. My favorite subjects to tutor are reading, writing, and science! In my spare time I enjoy reading for pleasure, spending time with my family, cooking, and going to see live music. I hope to be a valuable partner with families during a student's educational journey.
