Hi there! My name is Nadine but you can call me Dean. I am a young teaching artist located in the pacific Northwest ready to share my wealth of knowledge.
During my time in college I knew I wanted to be a teacher, and followed the course I needed to get the resources to teach well. I took several general education courses as well as math and English education courses to really hone my skills. After my time in school I began to work for my local art museum as a teaching artist and museum educator. The museum gave me training in Social Emotional Learning, Trauma Informed Care, and gender neutral training. I was also given the opportunity to teach in our local Extended Learning Opportunities: a federally funded program bringing schools in our area before and after school programs. These programs were staffed by educators with local institutions and businesses, such as, dance, math tutoring, arts and crafts, languages, etc.
