Certified Tutor

From 2011-2015, I attended Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, Arizona. There I pursued two degrees, one in early childhood education and the other in elementary education. I also am very interested in bilingual and multicultural education. I have been working professionally with students of all ages since 2015, teaching both in traditional US classroom settings and abroad both in person and online. My strongest areas of study are English, math, writing and reading. I very much enjoy science and history as well. I love tutoring in all areas because for me tutoring is an opportunity to help someone reach their goals and change their life in one way or another. I love that education provides people with opportunities and a better life, and it makes me happy to know that my tutoring can help make that happen. My teaching philosophy is that I believe every student has the right to a free and fair education. Regardless of gender, ability or race, all students deserve the resources and tools needed to receive a quality education that provides them with the opportunities and the skills they need to be successful in life. I always keep these ideas close to my heart while teaching and tutoring. I understand that every individual is unique and has their own learning style. I tend to focus on how my student learns best and adapt my teaching to best fit my students. I am super flexible as a teacher, incredibly patient and very kind. I am gentle and provide a lot of guidance, especially when the content is difficult. I strongly believe that learning should be interesting and fun, so I do try to use different techniques and strategies as well to keep the classroom an exciting place! Outside of the classroom I like to do many things too! Being outside in nature is my absolute favorite! I love to have picnics, play with my dogs and hike. I love to create art, do puzzles and watch movies or series. I am currently learning how to cook more and planning future travels! I'm excited to meet you and help you in your educational journey!
