My teaching philosophy is dedicated to building meaningful relationships with my students and prioritizing their needs as we assess their learning goals. All languages and backgrounds are equally valued in my classroom. I am very passionate about students feeling welcomed, affirmed, and advocated for. In sum, I love teaching and passing on the baton of curiosity.

For the past three years, I have worked with English learners at Greenwood and Katherine Johnson Elementary Schools in Newport News, VA. I specifically work with students from 1st through 4th grade. I adore teaching all subjects, but math and history are my favorite!
