Reading and ELA are two subjects that I am skilled in as well as passionate about. I have taught in a first grade classroom and a third grade classroom. Teaching the foundational skills for reading is crucial for children because reading is vital for success! For those reasons, I adapt, modify, and build on lessons that helps students grow and learn. Building relationships with my students is my first step to creating a safe and exciting learning environment. From there, we come up with goals and ways to reach those goals as a team.
