Certified Tutor

I recently obtained my Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience from Indiana University Bloomington. I now work as a pharmaceutical sales representative at a Fortune 200 company. My long-term goal is to pursue a career in medicine, specifically either cardiothoracic surgery or anesthesiology. I took the MCAT earlier this year and am now interviewing for MD programs.

I first discovered tutoring while completing my undergraduate education. I served as an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant (UTA) for Indiana University's Biology and Neuroscience departments. UTA-ing allowed me to work alongside two tenured track professors to help engage students in their Molecular Biology and Clinical Neuroscience course material. I taught independent discussion sections, reviewed students' weekly assignments, and graded their exams. I also spent one-semester tutoring three college sophomores in an Introduction to Chemistry and Biochemical Processes course. I continue to sharpen my communication and teaching skills even today as a pharmaceutical sales rep, as part of my responsibility includes educating primary care providers on modern treatment algorithms and pharmaceuticals for Type 2 Diabetes.
