Certified Tutor

I have been in the education field for over fifteen years and am incredibly passionate about educating students and meeting the unique needs of each learner.

I first started my time in the classroom as a high school social studies teacher (US History, Civics, and World Geography) for eight years. I worked at the college level at the University of Missouri-St. Louis as an educational support specialist for students with disabilities for two years where I managed their tutoring program, taught a study skills course, developed program specific curriculum, and worked with college professors to implement accommodations and modifications based on student needs. After that experience, I returned to the K-12 setting and worked as a special education teacher at the high school level for 2 years. I taught small setting English classes, supported study halls that focused on academic and executive functioning, and co-taught English classes in the general education setting. For the past three years, I have been working as a high school counselor.

I earned my Bachelor's of Science in secondary education, social studies from Southeast Missouri State University. I completed my Masters of Arts in Teacher at Webster University in St. Louis, MO. I acquired my Masters of Arts in School Counseling from Lindenwood University in St. Charles, MO.

I am available tutor social studies courses, English courses, study skills, and skills related to executive functioning.

In my spare time, I enjoy weightlifting, walking, playing with my dog, and spending time with my family.
