I'm a 53 yr. old African American woman who lives in Louisville, Kentucky.

I graduated from Jefferson County Public Schools, with a high school diploma in May of 1989.'

I come from a very large family, and I'm very proud of them all!!!
Family was designed to support one another during ruff times that occur in a person's life. My family has been that ROCK that I could always count on.

After high school I immediately enrolled at the famous historical black institution by the name of Kentucky State University. Where I obtained a BA in Elementary Education K-5.

There I was taught new concepts and skills to lead the future leaders of today's society. I felt I was very successful at being highly proficient with, and for students in the areas of literacy intervention, writing, mathematics, and reading.

My philosophy of education has and will always be "All students can learn and become valuable members of society." If given the basics. Food, clothing, and shelter.
Which is what is needed during these very valuable learning years. Kids must have stability to thrive and excel.

After graduating from KSU, I moved back home, and enrolled in the University of Louisville!!! Where I worked hard to get a master's in special education (specialization in the area of EBD, the Emotional Behavior Disordered MMD, Mildly Mentally Disturbed LD, Learning Disability and OHI, Other Health Impaired and a Rank 1 in Special Education. (Note: Additional Studies)
With determination, and prayer. I successfully completed my goal, and graduated in May of 2007.' with my Masters, and May of 2008' graduated again with my Rank 1.

I would like you guys to understand that learning is a lifelong journey!!
You must be patient with yourself and trust the learning process/with my help.

Sometimes it may take a lot of practice, maybe making a lot of mistakes, before you get it right!!! BUT don't give up!!! Keep trying!!! YOU will get there!!!! We will TOGETHER!!!!
