Hi everyone! I'm Virginia, I am a junior at the University of South Florida pursuing a Bachelor's of Science in Quantitative Economics and Econometrics. I have a passion for mathematics and even more so a passion for teaching students how to love it! When I was in elementary and middle school math was my least favorite subject. I would dread a homework assignment, quiz, or test. it wasn't until years later that I developed my love for math. What was it that changed? I was finally learning the "why" behind what I was learning. When children first start learning math from early elementary to late middle school they are continually taught HOW to do something and not often taught WHY. It is my belief that once students understand the WHY the HOW comes about naturally.
