I am a graduate of Texas State University. I received my Bachelor's in Elementary Education. Since graduation, I have been an elementary teacher for 6 years. I taught ESL 1st grade for 2 years and ESL 3rd grade math and science for 4 years. I am most passionate about helping students understand math concepts. I enjoy helping struggling students breakdown the large math concepts into concepts they can understand by using their prior knowledge, math manipulatives and variety of strategies. As an educator I understand that each student learns differently. It is important to understand the learning style of each student to move forward successfully.
