Certified Tutor

I hold a Bachelor of Science Degree in Human Resource development, Substitute certificate of license to teach, and a Tutor certificate. I have worked in various industries as an administrator but my passion is working with youth helping them develop and master their skills. As the Executive Director for a Faith Based non-profit I established a Tutor component to the business. I took classes at Applied Scholastics to become a certified Tutor/Trainer. My organization became a licensee via Applied Scholastics to operate in the state of Missouri as a Tutoring Supplemental Educational Service in various school districts in the St. Louis Missouri area. I have tutored for over 15 years as well as have trained tutors to help young students in reading, language arts, and math. My favorite subject to tutor is reading, because it enlightens me to see a young person gain confidence after discovering the mastery of reading. I am a determined learner and I am determined to teach others how to learn.
