Certified Tutor

I am a current senior at Michigan State University majoring in Social Work with a minor in Human Behavior and Social Services. I have four years of experience working with children through tutoring, summer camps, and after school activities. I have a passion for helping people and plan to work with children in Adoption and Foster Care Services in my future career. I love tutoring because it is an incredible experience to watch a student's skills, abilities, and confidence grow through the tutoring process. I understand that school can feel stressful, especially when you don't fully understand a subject or concept. I want to make the learning process as enjoyable as possible for my students and to take some of their stress away. I tutor a variety of subjects including Elementary School Math and English, as well as Middle School English, Reading, and Writing. My favorite subject to tutor is English; specifically grammar, spelling, writing, and reading comprehension. I also enjoy editing essays and other works of writing. In my free time I enjoy playing the guitar, painting, crocheting, and reading!
