I love my career in education and felt it in my heart a special calling to educate and help students to achieve their goals. Ever since then, my passion of helping and making a difference in the lives of all my students grew stronger. It has been very rewarding to see my students grow in their love for learning and education. I am a graduate of the Educator Preparation Institute from Hillsborough College. I also have received my Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences at Florida International University with a Minor in Religious Studies. I was a former Pre-K 3 Teacher at Espiritu Santo Catholic School in Safety Harbor, Florida and it was very rewarding seeing how each student had grown in their education and this makes me very proud of them. I was also a former Kindergarten Teacher at an excellent school called Mary E. Bryant Elementary school in Hillsborough County. This was a great experience as a Teacher and I learned so many wonderful things as an educator such as following the school curriculum, lesson planning, evaluating the students on their progress, parent conferences and how to communicate with each parent. It was very rewarding just seeing how much my students had grown in the different areas of their development and how well they were all writing and reading towards the end of Kindergarten. I remember two of my students were tested for the gifted program as they both had high levels of reading and math. Being a First Grade Teacher, I truly enjoyed working with each student and making a difference in their daily lives. They loved participating in group activities and in their small group guided reading time. I love teaching children and helping them grow academically and emotionally. In the past, when I tutored a few students they just loved my tutoring style because I always allowed them to share and write about their favorite places and things that they did over the weekend. They loved to communicate with me and tutoring for them became a fun way of learning by being themselves and making reading and writing a creative and enthusiasm part of their education experience. The subjects that I enjoy tutoring are English, Reading, Writing, Math, Spanish, ESOL/ELL, and Phonics. I have worked with students in all of these subject areas of education. My favorite subject to tutor is Reading and Writing because I truly enjoy helping each child to learn how to read and how to write. I believe it is the most crucial educational skill that a student will need to master in order to be successful in any other subject area. Besides my education and work experiences, I love to volunteer and help others which I feel that most of my volunteer and community experiences throughout my life have all meant so much to me. Each one of them has been an inspiration and fruitful experience as far as helping those who are in need. I have been a Catechist Teacher of my beautiful Christian Catholic Faith at my Parish Church for three years and also helped out as a Spanish Catechist many years ago at another Parish which have all meant so much to me.
