Certified Tutor

I am a graduate of Clark Atlanta University and Ashford University. I received my Bachelors of Art in Business Administration with a focus in marketing and earned my teacher certification. At Ashford University I received my Masters of Arts in Teaching and Learning in Technology. I am certified in ELA 6-8, ESL K-12. I have been a teacher, tutor, mentor, and a coach for most of my 24 year my career. My favorite subjects to teach are reading, writing, and grammar. I love these subjects the best because of my love to read and write daily. My next subject is social studies I love to learn about people, places, and events. My teaching philosophy is that all students can learn. This is why I have had special training to learn the best strategies to use to help my students master skills that are important in their content classes. I love using real life examples with my students to make learning fun and interesting. My personal hobbies are reading and writing, shopping and my newest hobby is kickboxing which is very physical and fun at the same time.
