Certified Tutor

I am currently a freshman at the University of Maryland, College Park (Go Terps!). I'm working towards a Bachelor of Science in Information Science and a minor in Spanish. During high school, I was a tutor at the Kumon Education Center, where I helped guide students mainly through reading and math. I thoroughly enjoy helping students in all areas of study, but my favorite subjects to teach are English (writing, reading, and reading comprehension) and Spanish. In the summer of 2019, I had the opportunity to travel to Madrid, Spain on a study abroad scholarship to expand my knowledge of Spanish studies. I am passionate about the Spanish language, and I will assuredly bring my experience and knowledge to my students. In my time at Kumon, I quickly developed a passion for helping students achieve their academic goals and realized the value of education. I fully recognize the importance of tutoring, and I strive to cultivate an engaging, productive environment for all of my students.
