My: Quebec City tutor
Certified Tutor
I am a graduate of the University of Washington in Seattle. I received my Bachelor of Arts in General Biology with a minor in Human Rights/Diversity. Since graduation, I moved to New York City to serve as a physics and biology teacher, as well as being a remote mentor for the Washington State Opportunity Scholarship program in my hometown! While I tutor a broad range of science subjects, I am most passionate about fundamentals of physics and physiology.
I am a firm believer in engaging students with science through the 'productive struggle'. I find that youth learn best when they do most of the work themselves while I serve as a facilitator. Education is truly a necessary proponent in life as it gives all individuals a passion for development, whether that be personally or academically. I strive to bring a passion for learning and growth for all of my students!
In my spare time, I am an avid reader, writer, yoga lover, and an explorer in my new home (NYC).
