I graduated from Mercer University with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education, and worked as an elementary school teacher for almost 20 years. During that time, I worked with students on varying academic levels and enjoyed a lot of success in moving them forward in their learning. My passion has always been working with children to help them succeed in school and in life. I recognize that students learn in different ways and I use their strengths to guide them. During the academic year 2010-2011, my fellow teachers voted me Teacher of the Year for our school. I was honored with this award because of the high standards I set and achieved for my students and myself. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, walking, and fellowship with others.
