I am a graduate of the SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry (B.S. Environmental Science) and Texas A&M University (M.Ed. Science Curriculum and Instruction). Since graduating, I have dedicated my life to helping students of all ages understand the natural world around them better by teaching science and have felt a need to serve in public education (teacher and HS principal). I have worked with all age levels in public education, but feel the strongest connection to high school. I understand the importance of graduating high school and know how to get students to the finish line.
I am passionate about Biology and teaching the subject I love in high school right now is awesome! I have a unique perspective on Biology due to my practical work experiences in science: USDA Forest Service (AK and NY) and 6 years of university medical research experience (SUNY and TAMU) with publications. I love linking real world science career information with the subject matter to bring it to life for students.
In my spare time I love to grow plants, play Xbox, travel to National Parks and camp/hike in the woods with my wonderful wife and 3 dogs!
