I am very happy with our experience so far with Varsity Tutors. They matched my daughter with reading specialist Mary and she is wonderful! My 10 year old daughter feels happy after her sessions and believes her tutor has already helped her.

Certified Tutor

I graduated in 2020 from Rollins College where I earned my BA in Economics, Philosophy, and Mathematics. My academic interests are diverse and I tutored throughout college in everything from statistics to Modern Philosophy to algebra for high schoolers. I think the best thing an educator can do is to talk with students, not at them. That means having a dialogue back and forth to help the student come to the right answer on their own. Oftentimes, students have a lot of knowledge and they just need help applying it to one particular question. My favorite subject to tutor is Macroeconomics because that's my long term research interest. When I'm not tutoring or preparing for my MA in Economics I'm experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen, hiking, or working through a novel.

My absolute favorite thing to do in my free time is cooking and baking. According to friends and family, my chicken parm recipe is "fire." I also love hiking and learning languages. Nothing beats climbing to the top of a mountain and opening up a good book.
