I am an enthusiastic and patient tutor with a love of teaching and supporting children and young people. As an Elementary School teacher in the Clark County School District, I am dedicated to all my students and strive to help them find new and exciting ways to learn, My degree is in Elementary Education which I received from Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas. My specialization areas are reading comprehension and phonics. I have continued my education at University of Nevada, along with correspondence courses from Yale University.

I have taught in the Clark County School District for over 20 years, as a contracted and substitute teacher. I have a wealth of experience supporting children and young people in schools, including those with special educational needs. Therefore, I am fantastic at adapting my communication to children of different ages and capabilities, and at finding alternative methods to aid a child or young person to understand. I thoroughly enjoy all the work I do with children in schools and I look forward to all my tutoring lessons.

My areas of expertise include Reading, Phonics, Math (Common Core) Writing, Social Studies, Science, Spanish and Art. I also have a Special Education endorsement on my license.

I plan clear and engaging sessions and motivate students to find ways to access different concepts. I present material in an enthusiastic manner which will to cultivate an interest in learning. I am highly motivated and challenge driven and a lover of learning myself.

I am a kind-hearted, friendly, professional and highly trained teacher. I am extremely passionate about teaching. I find the position personally satisfying and beneficial to the students I work with. I am a great communicator and listener and have the ability to understand your child's needs.
