I retired from public education after 25 years of teaching. I am a master reading teacher who trained many other teachers how to teach reading. I am an expert in phonics, and have used this method to great success with struggling students. I have a master of education degree and was the intervention coordinator for a large campus with many at risk students. I also taught kids reading comprehension and had a very high percentage of my students get commended in reading on state exams. I know how to motivate students to want to learn and excel. Reference letters are available as to my abilities from highly regarded administrators from Houston Independent School District. I am married and the father of 6 wonderful children!
