Christine: Oregon tutor
Certified Tutor
I am a graduate of The Ohio State University. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications and Marketing. I was collegiate track athlete while at Ohio State and had many accolades. After graduating, I became a substitute teacher as well as a track coach for about 2 years. I realized that I had passion for teaching so I joined the Urban Teachers program where I am currently teaching Middle School Math in D.C as well as getting my masters degree at Johns Hopkins University. While working as a 6th grade math teacher in an underprivileged school district, I specialized in individualized instruction as well remediation for struggling math students. I am passionate about mentoring and helping students with behavioral problems as well as trauma issues. I am great at building relationships with students and creating classroom environments that are safe and inviting. I am firm believer to equal educational opportunities for all students and I am huge advocate for special education. I am currently certified in special education and working towards my certification in middle school math education. I love working with children and I am excited to work with your child!
