Certified Tutor

I have my BS in Health Science from Mercy College in New York and am 1/3 of the way to earning my 2nd Bachelor Degree in Nursing. I've also taken graduate courses in Public Health.

I have been teaching in classrooms (workshops, group training and formal classes) since 2009. My most recent position was teaching math to 6th grade to 10th-grade students. Since then, I've homeschooled my daughter and her two cousins who are in grades K5 and 1st.

I am passionate about making learning fun and engaging for students, to increase their chances for success. My favorite methods include using music, visual aids, and mnemonic/memory devices to help increase comprehension and retention.
