Since leaving education a number of years ago, I have always wanted to return; a great love of learning, desire for knowledge and natural curiosity throughout my life resulted in an ambition to teach. It was with this ambition in my heart that I took the plunge and returned to education, teaching reading part time in a local elementary school. My career choices resulted in being exposed to diverse cultures and languages: Navajo and Ute, German, Korean, and Japanese. I have developed a great appreciation for diversity in the students that I teach. I derive a great deal of joy and pleasure in witnessing "the light bulb come on."
