I believe that each student has their own unique learning style. I work to uncover each student's individual learning style, and then customize
the way that we approach the material. As an educator, I believe that it is important to be
flexible and willing manipulate the material to
make it more easily understood, rather than
trying to change the student's learning style.

FRUSTRATING THAN TRYING TO FORCE A
ROUND PEG THROUGH A SQUARE HOLE."

By taking the time to get to the the student,
we can learn how a student sees their world
and how they take in information. Only then,
can we, as educators, uncover the most
effective way to translate the material to the
student, on their terms.

" REARRANGING THE MATERIAL TO SUIT THE
STUDENT'S LEARNING STYLE CAN BE A LOT MORE
EFFECTIVE THAN REARRANGING THE STUDENT'S
LEARNING STYLE TO SUIT THE MATERIAL."

When concepts begin to make sense to a
student, they begin to absorb the material
and make it their own. These "light-bulb"
moments are re-defining moments for the
student; as these are the moments when the
student's relationship with the material is re-
defined and the student begins to take
ownership of the material.
This is the goal.

I enjoy playing the piano and guitar. Whether I'm performing or playing on my own; making music is something that I love to do. (I also really enjoy a good Netflix binge...LoL!)
