Certified Tutor
I am a recent graduate of Fordham University with a Bachelor of Science in General Science and a minor in Psychology. As a pre-med graduate, I have a passion for the life sciences and aim to attend medical school. Although I am not a certified teacher, I have tutored students of various ages. Around the age of 15, I started tutoring private clients, mainly middle school and elementary school students. Throughout my undergraduate career as a pre-med student, I worked as a teacher assistant in the STEP/CSTEP program at Fordham. I mentored middle and high school students in the following subjects: science, math, and SAT concepts. I also tutored college students in the Language Learning Center at Fordham in French.
While I tutor a broad range of subjects, I am most passionate about French, Literature, and Geometry. I have always been an avid reader and a creative writer, and love sharing that passion with my students. I also have an innate passion for languages. I know French which is my first language, English, some Spanish and have now taken it upon myself to add Polish and Italian to my repertoire of languages. I enjoy teaching Geometry because it is one of the few math subjects that uses logic.
I am a firm proponent of education, and believe it to be absolutely necessary for an improved quality of life. I try to impart this appreciation to all of my students. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, which introduces new ideas, writing poetry and stories, learning new languages by listening to various music, and playing basketball.
