I am a writer and marketer in Jacksonville, FL with a strong background in science and literature. I've always enjoyed coaching and tutoring, and I'm excited to help students grasp key concepts, improve their writing, and prepare for standardized tests.

I started tutoring as a writing coach in high school. I helped peer students improve their writing on essays for class and for college applications for the entirety of my senior year.

I graduated with distinction from the University of Virginia in May of 2018. In college, I took up an accelerated course of study so that I could graduate in three years with degrees in both biology and English literature. As part of my coursework for my English major, I frequently edited my classmates writing in group workshop exercises. I also wrote and edited for my student newspaper, The Cavalier Daily, where I mentored other students on writing style, organization, research, and sourcing. My writing has also been published in HuffPost, The Prospect, and The Writing Cooperative.

As a journalist, I now interview scientists for my own publication, Powerhouse. In my free time, I tend my garden, take salsa classes, and play piano.
