I find a lot of joy in helping my fellow classmates at the University of Delaware better understand concepts that I myself have grasped. And there is no better feeling than when someone is truly grateful that you have given them the knowledge and tools to succeed in a course where they felt there was simply no hope and that they "just couldn't get it". The reality is that everyone is capable of understanding any subject, it just has to be communicated in the right way and the proper amount of time and work has to be put in. I don't want to just spoon feed information, I want to teach student how to learn creatively-which is something that, tragically, isn't stressed in public education today.
