Certified Tutor

I am a graduate of Indiana University, United Theological Seminary, and Southern Methodist University's Graduate Program in Religious Studies. In addition to courses in general religion and world traditions, I have experience in history, theology and disability. I have taught all levels from middle school to adults. I have advocated for people with disabilities in churches, seeking to go beyond "accomodation" to inclusion, where everyone has a place. In addition, I am passionate about clear and careful use of language. Education is not learning "correct" answers as much as learning to think, a necessary tool to understand and get along with others in a diverse society. My hobbies include amateur radio, along with photography and model railroading as creative outlets. We also have two cats who continue to add delight to our home.
