This is what I hope to inspire in each student. Struggles in my own journey allows me to connect with students to help them succeed.
My mother showed me the strength and the resilience it takes to overcome the storms of life. She is an immigrant single parent who raised me and continues to support me. I have become resilient because of what my tough experiences have taught me. I have learned to appreciate and remember the good. Sometimes I stumble along the way, but that's when my loved ones remind me of how blessed I truly am.
I graduated with honors from Benedictine University with my Masters in Public Health. After I obtained my MPH, I began working as an ACT test prep and subject tutor for Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Algebra & Trig, Spanish, writing/English, and Statistics. In addition, for a number of years within the Indian Christian community, I have been recognized as a leader with multiple local and national organizations.
Through life experiences, I found a passion for helping people. From my tutoring experiences I have learned that I have the ability to connect with students and help them not only academically but also with overcoming the limits they put on themselves. It's important to motivate students to dream big and strive for success no matter what difficulties they may face.
