Research scientist with 12 years of experience bridging the fields of oncology, molecular biology, genetics, mouse disease models, microbiology, and cell biology. I have gained valuable experience as a leader through designing projects for and managing several graduate, undergraduate, and high school researchers. I have led collaborative efforts across multi-disciplinary research groups including those focused on immunology, advanced imaging, and gene therapy throughout my career. My proficiency in scientific writing includes preparation and organization of numerous grant and fellowship applications, including budget formulations.

In graduate school, I learned how rewarding teaching can be while instructing undergraduate lab courses of up to 32 students at a time in subjects including introductory biology, introductory life sciences, cell biology, and vertebrate embryology. Office hours consisted of one-on-one tutoring to help those most in need gain a better understanding of topics they were not fully comfortable with following weekly classes.
