Certified Tutor

I am a graduate of the University of Missouri- Columbia with a bachelor's of science in math education. I am currently a certified high school math teacher at Valley Park High School; my classes are Algebra 1 and AP Calculus. I tend to be a very relaxed teacher and tutor, as math can be very stressful so it's best to keep the energy low. I believe in a growth mindset- that is, the mentality you have going into any event can change the outcome of said event. I encourage students to change phrases like, "I can't do this" or "I just keep making mistakes" to "I can do this if I try hard enough" and "I can learn from my mistakes so I stop making them." I have a natural knack for math, but I have been told by multiple students that I'm great at breaking down confusing topics and ideas so that they can understand as well. I absolutely love math, and hope to convey my passion and joy to your student and help them succeed!

Outside of teaching and tutoring, I am a huge fan of music- both listening and creating. I also love attending concerts, and go as often as I can. I have two cats that I spend most of my free time with, and watch too much Netflix!
